53. Just Another Island
In the early days of the Pacific War, the crew of the Dutch ship HNLMS Abraham Crijnssen faced a daunting challenge. With enemy forces dominating the seas, the likelihood of a safe passage to Australia seemed slim. Yet, it was a masterstroke of camouflage that turned the natural environment into a shield against detection.

Opting for a disguise, they transformed their vessel from a recognizable warship into what appeared to be just another island in the vast ocean, using branches and foliage to complete the illusion. As the ship mimicked the serene look of a tropical island, it sailed undetected through dangerous waters, outsmarting the enemy with its inventive strategy.
