Moments When Management Forgot How to Manage

August 29, 2026 by Alison Campbell

Strong Swimmer

There is nothing worse than waking up in the morning and seeing that there is bad weather outside. Trying to understand how you’re possibly going to make it to work can be a stressful thought. Especially if you are reliant on public transport. Sometimes your boss will be kind and understanding, and other times you just have to hope the bad weather subsides.

This kind of response from your boss seems somewhat inappropriate. If the weather is absolutely atrocious outside, so much so that you would have to swim, then it is clear to us that you should not risk leaving your home. It makes us think that perhaps the weather isn’t so bad outside and the employee is trying to pull a fast one on their boss.
