People’s Wild ER Stories That Give Us Newfound Appreciation for Doctors

If you’re not an outdoorsy person, this story will only strengthen your conviction never to go camping out in the wilderness. This storyteller experienced what happens when an emergency room team does a horrible job with a patient. They had a female patient come in with an infected bite on her behind. She had gone to the ER for help, but it was still hurting quite a bit.

Our storyteller undid the patient’s bandages and quickly found out why. The ER staff had done pretty much nothing to help this woman out. The bite was completely infected and inflamed. Her poor behind! They were able to eventually get everything cleaned up and sorted, but our storyteller can’t get the horrific visual out of her mind to this day.
