If you turn on the TV or go on social media, it seems like everything is a political stance these days. Even being nice and practicing common decency can feel like making a statement, which is truly wild. This person feels some kind of way about how showing kindness and understanding seems to be less common lately.

Maybe we all need to take a step back, put away our phones, and enjoy some one-on-one time with other people. Making everything into a political statement can be dehumanizing and stressful. We’re all just people who want to be treated with kindness and respect, so maybe we should focus on that more than choosing sides.
