“It’s as Backawards as Can Be”: Things in American Culture That Make No Sense to the Rest of the World

Surprisingly (or not), most of the world views the United States in a much different way than Americans do. While most Americans acknowledge that politics and public opinion seem very divisive these days, many people just shrug it off and continue scrolling on their own social media echo chambers.

From the outside looking in, however, many people are alarmed. It seems like the United States is actively sabotaging itself with new policies and laws that encroach on peoples’ rights to healthcare, freedom, and personal rights. As a whole, the United States doesn’t look as bright as it used to be to the rest of the world.
