#21: Different Views
It’s commonly said you don’t talk politics or religion in polite company. Bill O’Reilly was evidently not considered polite company when he came onto The View in 2010. The ex-Fox News darling brought up a sensitive topic related to a new religious institution being built near the September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City.
Most of the View co-hosts had opinions that opposed Bill’s point of view. Things quickly got heated, with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar getting very upset. It got to the point where everyone was yelling at each other on live TV! Whoopi and Joy eventually stormed off stage in solidarity. The whole scene was very sensational and, honestly, kind of stressful.
