#34: Nothing Lasts Forever
I don’t want to brag, but I’m pretty good at saving money. And when I was in college, one of the ways I saved money was never replacing things until it was absolutely necessary. I had a bottle of powdered ginger that I got half-full from a roommate in college and kept for another decade.
But as proud as I am of my ability to save money, that’s not necessarily a good thing in some cases. Spices lose flavor and potency over time, and baking soda and baking powder lose efficacy. Sometimes, you just have to take a deep breath and spend the $3 to get yourself a new container.
