#36: Seeking Sufficient Sleep
Here’s another one where I feel pretty called out. I am a total night owl, and if I have to wake up at 8 in the morning, I’m not going to go to bed at midnight to make sure I get 8 hours of sleep; I’m going to go to bed at 3 and suffer. And I know I’m not alone in this.
Sometimes, we’re really proud of that for some reason. Have you ever heard someone brag about how little sleep they’ve gotten? I’ve heard it, and I’ve done it. But it’s so bad for you, and we need to change the conversation around sleep so that we realize that it’s important and useful, not something that we can choose to do without.
